I’m sure you’ve switched smartphones and you know how important it is to have a backup of everything that matters. The apps are the least of all and if you forget one along the way nothing happens either.
But when you change your phone number, things change and you’ll have to broadcast WhatsApp to warn all your contacts.
Luckily, this will be automatic when the messaging app notifies you of a contact’s number change.
WhatsApp tells you if someone has changed their number
One of the procedures you must go through every time you install WhatsApp on a phone is to enter your data, including phone number.
Your account is associated with it as a means to identify you, but even if you change it you can recover your account data thanks to a backup. It simply serves to prevent someone else from another terminal from supplanting you.
Until now, making a change of this style only meant that it was time to send a broadcast to your contacts, but this is a thing of the past.
This process will now be automatic. You’ll know if a friend has changed WhatsApp numbers because the app notifies you. All users will have this function activated very soon. Simply access your account settings, change number and once the relevant settings have been made you will be given the option to notify the contacts you want.
