It's official, Microsoft has finally updated its Your Phone application! After syncing the photos, it is now possible to receive Android notifications on your PC, but under certain conditions.
In this tutorial, we explain how to sync and display your Android notifications in Windows 10.
What is the "Your Phone" application?
Initially, Microsoft's free Your Phone application allowed the transfer of photos and messages between the PC and the Android phone.
Since its recent update, it is now also possible to process your notifications.
On smartphones, this application only works in Android 7.0 (Nougat) and later versions and from Windows 10 onwards.
Synchronize your Windows with your Android
To synchronize your PC with your phone, first make sure your operating system is the latest version of Windows 10.
To do this, it is very simple:
- Go to your settings
- Click on Update and Security
- Refer to the Windows Update section and, if necessary, follow the instructions
Now, to download the Your Phone mobile application, go to the Google Play store.
Once installed, open it and let yourself be guided through the different steps. The steps are as simple as logging into your Microsoft account and allowing you to send SMS text messages and access your photos, phone calls and contacts.
To ensure that messages are transferred correctly to your PC, the application must run in the background and therefore can quickly become power hungry.
To complete the configuration of the application, you will be asked to connect to your PC.
First, go to Settings, then Accounts to make sure you are signed in to your Microsoft account, then :
- Open the start menu
- Go to the Microsoft Store
- Find the application Your phone
- Click on Install and then on Run
You will receive an authorization request on your Android, so click Authorize.
That's it, that's it! Finally you can receive and send messages directly from your Windows 10.
