Check the state of your seal: it may be mouldy, if you have not used your machine for a long time, or the waste may have accumulated and macerated (tissues, paper, sweets, pens...).
What is the procedure? Empty the joint and clean it with white vinegar.
Ventilate your washing machine
Another possible cause of wet odors on clothing is that the window has been closed too long. You've been away on vacation and come back with a suitcase full of laundry.
When you open the porthole, the smell of moisture comes out of the drum. If you wash your clothes in the process, they may become impregnated with the smell.
How can I remove this musty smell? Make a vacuum machine at high temperature (90°C), with a glass of detergent mixed with a glass of white vinegar.
Increase the washing temperature
If the problem of humidity persists after cleaning the machine, you may be cleaning the clothes at too low a temperature: prefer the high temperature cycles that allow a proper removal of bacteria.
Check your laundry
The problem of moisture can also come from your clothes, try other products with better performance or more fragrance. You can also add a few drops of essential oils in the rinse water to perfume your clothes.
Also check your dosage, it is possible that the amount of detergent is too low in relation to the amount of laundry to be washed.
Our extra tip: never leave wet clothes in your washing machine for more than 24 hours. Spread it out as quickly as possible to avoid these wet smells.
