When suffering from dandruff, it's not only the black jackets covered with white spots that are annoying, but also the itchy and dry scalp.

The symptoms of this chronic disorder are varied: skin problems, sensitivity to chemicals, stress, hard water...

If dandruff is not caused by a skin disease such as psoriasis, there are shampoos designed to remove it. But if you prefer to find a solution by rummaging through your closet, here are some ideas:

Yogurt

Wash your hair as usual, and then pour a natural yogurt on your head.

You can adjust the dosage according to the length of your hair.

Gently massage with fingertips and leave on for about 20 minutes. Rinse well and repeat with each shampoo, then less frequently as the dandruff subsides.

Coconut oil

This miracle product is very nourishing to the hair and helps to reduce the amount of dandruff.

Apply a small amount of oil (liquid) to the scalp, massage and leave on for as long as possible, between 15 minutes and a full night.

Rinse thoroughly and shampoo several times to remove completely.

Cider vinegar

The acidity level of the cider vinegar inhibits the production of dandruff.

Dilute a glass of vinegar with a glass of water, apply the mixture to your skull and leave it for a quarter of an hour, then use your usual shampoo.

This product is easier to rinse off than coconut oil, but may leave a slight odor in the hair for a few hours.

Aspirin

Reduce a few tablets of powdered aspirin in a mortar or by placing them in a plastic bag and crushing them with a roller or water bottle.

Mix the powder with water until it forms a paste and apply it to your head.

Leave for 15 minutes and rinse. You can also add powdered aspirin to the shampoo to enhance its anti-dandruff action.

Aloe vera

Unlike other home remedies, aloe vera does not necessarily fight the causes of dandruff, but it does help relieve itching and soothe skin irritations.

Apply one tablespoon of gel to the scalp and massage gently for immediate relief and leave overnight if possible before rinsing.

If you have a plant at home, cut a piece of leaf, remove the thorns, cut it in half lengthwise and scratch the inside with a spoon.
