How to write a good resume? –
The format and selection of the information to be presented in a CV is necessary to get a job interview.
“A resume is read in only 30 seconds by a recruiter. Therefore, it is necessary to be particularly rigorous and methodical in its production so that the employer wants to know it.
The first elements that the employer reads are those that appear at the top of the CV: last name, first name, email address and position.
It is not essential, nor even inadvisable, to indicate your postal address, because it is a discriminatory element, as well as your age and your photo.
The job title, on the other hand, is too often forgotten by candidates, and this can lead to your CV being thrown away.
Under the title, for example, Office Sales, you can add keywords such as e-commerce or retail, etc., in smaller characters, in order to specify your work.
When you write down your professional experiences, you should not write the title of the work, but bring in concrete elements of your previous achievements.
For example, that you have solved those problems and saved the company time and/or money.
If you have multiplied your professional experience in temporary jobs, it is also preferable to group them into one topic rather than listing all your tasks. The consistency of your resume and therefore your career is very important.
As far as diplomas are concerned, the current trend, linked to the fight against discrimination, is to focus on experiences rather than on the school curriculum.
Therefore, it is not useful to insist on it, unless your degree corresponds to your profession (accountant, for example) or if you have followed a very specific course.
One last part that is still used too badly is the “Leisure” or “Miscellaneous” part. It is useless to indicate: sport, travel, reading…
On the other hand, if you have a high-level sports activity or a significant humanitarian commitment, show something of yourself.
Otherwise, these elements contaminate your resume and the recruiter forgets your previous knowledge.
Finally, in the form, I also recommend a traditional resume, although you can use a little modern font and a little color. Since the idea is to make your CV easily readable, don’t hesitate either to highlight in black for example the mention “Professional experiences” on a white background and air its content well”.

10 golden tips to build a good resume
1. Highlighting skills and experience
It is important that in your resume you highlight your main skills and experience. If you have a large number of professional experiences, think about favoring the most recent ones and those most related to the position you are seeking.
Think about the skills the recruiter might be looking for in the position and try to include them in the different sections of your resume.
Don’t forget that recruiters receive hundreds of resumes. It will only take them a few minutes to read yours.
That’s why it’s important to highlight the main information. The easier you make life for the recruiter, the more they will thank you. It is also important to adapt your resume for each job offer you apply for.
2. Have a curriculum that makes a difference
Your resume should stand out from the rest, both in design and content. To get started, consider using one of our CV templates that you will find on our site.
Having an original resume will allow you to keep the attention of the recruiter and highlight its content. Every good resume should be unique and representative of its owner’s personality.
Adding links to your personal blog, a QR code to a video or to your portfolio, can also be a way to differentiate yourself from other candidates. So don’t hesitate to use your resume to add these elements that can make a difference.
3. 1HP = 1 page
As a general rule, a resume should consist of a single page. Only in certain cases will a two-page CV be tolerated: many professional experiences, a certain professional sector, etc.
If you have little professional experience or are a student, a one-page resume is strongly recommended.
Creating a one-page resume avoids drowning the recruiter in an avalanche of information.
It will also force you to carefully select the information you will include in your CV, i.e. the information that will highlight your profile.
Put the essentials on your resume and save the details for the interview. Find out in this article how to make a resume.
4. List your professional experience
Name and size of the company, sector of activity, date of beginning and end of contract, position held, tasks performed, results obtained, number of people under your responsibility, etc.
5. Specify for each position held, the missions and tasks performed
This will give the recruiter a better idea of the range of skills and knowledge he or she has been able to put into practice during their last professional experiences.
Describe the main tasks performed and the results obtained. Be precise and concise, save the details for the interview.
6. Be honest
Lying down on your resume is possible, but you will catch up with it sooner or later. Keep in mind that anything you mention in your resume may be questioned by the recruiter.
These questions can ultimately lead you into your own trap. Being honest is the best advice for making a resume.
7. Accepting criticism
Do not hesitate to show your CV to several people (friends, parents, relatives…) to collect their criticism, in order to improve it.
8. Specify your skill level
The indication of your level in language (Spanish, English…), computer science (Word, Excel, Photoshop…), etc. will allow the recruiter to have a better visibility of your skills. These elements can make the difference with other candidates.
9. Contact information
Include all contact information in your resume so that the recruiter can contact you. The more, the better (email, phone, skype, LinkedIn…)
10. Translate your resume
Some companies may request a resume in English (or translated into other languages). Having a resume that has already been translated allows you to anticipate these requests and demonstrate your professionalism to the recruiter.
Having a resume in English is now more than recommended.
