Control a smart TV with an iPhone

Control an Apple TV or your iPhone
Are you equipped with an Apple TV? Then you can switch from one content to another directly through the Apple TV Remote iOS application or through the Apple TV Remote feature.
The Apple TV Remote application
The Apple TV Remote application is free and allows you to search, navigate, and control your TV screen from your iOS. Please note that your Apple TV and iPhone must be up to date to use the application.
On your iPhone:
- Connect your iOS device to the same Wi-Fi network as your Apple TV.
- Open your Apple TV Remote application
- In the list, select your TV
On your Apple TV:
- Go to Settings → General
- Choose your remote controls
- Enter the 4-digit code that appears on your phone.
The function of the Apple TV remote control
With the latest iOS update, the Apple TV Remote is automatically added to the control center of your iPhone.
If not, you can activate it this way:
- Go to Settings
- Go to the Control Center
- Click on Customize Commands
- Touch the + next to the Apple TV remote
Now, here are the steps to set it up:
- Open your control center
- Touch the remote control icon
- Select your Apple TV or Smart TV from the list at the top of the screen
- Enter the 4-digit code on the TV screen
