The fact that we have uninstalled an application does not make it disappear from our lives. It’s still registered on our Google Play Store list.
If we use the same Google Account, we can reinstall these applications on other devices and sometimes even install and update them automatically.
The first thing we have to do is uninstall the application from our smartphone or tablet. There are several ways to do this.
For example, we can do it from the same application drawer by pressing the application for a long time and dragging it to the wastebasket.
Or also from the application manager in Settings > Applications, now select and click on ‘uninstall’.
Another method to uninstall an application is through the Google Play Store itself. All we have to do is open the side menu and open My Applications and Games.
Here we are going to find several tabs and one of them is ‘Installed’. In the list of installed applications if we select one we can uninstall it.
To permanently remove an application from our list, so that it cannot be installed on another device when our account is restored, nor can it perform an automatic update, go to the ‘Collection’ tab. We explain it step by step:
- Open Google Play Store
- Open the side menu and select “My Applications and Games”.
- Now select the “Collection” tab.
- Within that list of applications, we will touch on the “X” that appears next to the application that we want to forget forever.
- The only thing left to do is to confirm the removal from the application list.
Now we can be sure that this application will not be reinstalled on any device nor will it be automatically updated. Unfortunately, this possibility does not yet exist in the web version of the Google Play Store.
