Universal RCA remote
Universal remote controls, such as those manufactured by RCA, are used to control a wide variety of devices, including VCRs, DVD players and digital cable boxes.
These controls are programmed to operate devices using program codes that are available throughout the Universal Remote Controls manual.
As long as you have your manual, you can program your remote control to operate the devices without using the “Code Search” feature.
Look in the manual of your universal remote control, the codes necessary to program the control with the device. These codes are classified by appliance type and by the appliance manufacturer.
Press and hold the “Code Search” button, then press the button of the device you want to control.
For example, if you want to control your TV, press the “TV” button on your remote control. The light in your control must flash once.
Enter one of the codes from your manual on the keypad of the remote control, and then release the “Code Search” button.
Test the remote control by pressing the “On/Off” button, along with the other corresponding buttons on the remote control. If none of the buttons work, repeat the process with another code from your manual.
