The Rye Shoot. It is a resistant cereal adapted to poor soils, rye is suitable for harsh and austere climates. Rye flour has often been used in poultices against abscesses, boils and various skin inflammations.

Main biochemical components

Rye contains an essential oil (composed of monoterpenes (α and β-pinene, limonene, myrcene, camphene), monoterpeneols (α-terpineol, borneol), sesquiterpenes (β-caryophyllene) and esters (bornyl acetate)), vitamin C, resin and tannins.

The plant hormones of the rye shoot are: auxins (growth) and gibberellins (hatching).

Indications

Internally

The rye shoot is a remedy for the skin, for example, in the case of psoriasis , in addition to the cedar shoot.

Its action also affects the hepatic sphere, where it promotes the regeneration of hepatocytes (liver cells) after hepatitis. Rye sprout is complementary to rosemary and juniper sprouts.

In the local application

The rye shoot could be used in the application of psoriasis plaques.

Dose and dosage

• Adult/teenager - mother-macrine: 5 drops 1 to 2 times a day in a glass of water.
  • Dilution 1 D: 25 to 50 drops per day in a glass of water. Cure of 3 weeks per month every two months.
• Child (from 5 years old) - mother macerate: 1 drop per 10 kg in a glass of hot water, once a day.
  • Dilution 1 D: 1 drop per kg. per day in a glass of hot water Cure for 3 weeks.

Contraindications

There are no known contraindications for mother-plant maceration of young rye roots.
