Remove rust stains from your clothes
Clothes, especially white ones, can be easily stained by time, by the hooks on which we hang them or because we work cleaning a very precious piece of metal.
Rust stains on clothing are one of the most wash resistant and, as with the more difficult substances, a prior process is required to successfully remove it from the garment.
Today we teach you how to remove rust stains from your clothes. It’s very simple and you just need the following:
- You must prepare a mixture of half a lemon squeezed with a tablespoon of baking soda.
- Apply this mixture on the garment where the stain is and let it act for one hour. Then it proceeds to the traditional washing.
- In the case of a white garment you can let the preparation work longer.
- You will notice that even before washing how the rust stains fade away. Then rinse with lukewarm water, and finally wash as usual.
This technique can also be applied to garments with metallic buttons or trimmings that can cause rust, as time goes by and the number of washes increases, you will surely have noticed that many metallic details that come in the clothes, such as studs or inlays, sometimes leave rust stains.
