Leverage Siri’s capabilities to power WhatsApp
Among the new functionalities under development, one of them is the integration with the iOS virtual assistant that allows Siri to send WhatsApp messages.
Is this already possible? Apparently, both companies are collaborating side by side to offer this great feature.
The ability to adapt to current trends is one of the key features of the instant messaging application.
How to get Siri to send WhatsApp messages
Whenever you want, you can ask Siri to send a message from WhatsApp or read aloud to you the messages you have received from other contacts, and also make a call to a particular contact if you wish.
To activate Siri go to iPhone Settings > Siri > Search > Activate using “Hey Siri” or press the Start button and then press Siri > Enable Siri.
If you have an iPhone X, XS, XS Max or XR device you will have to press the side button to follow the path > Siri > Enable Siri.
Finally, slide the screen down, click WhatsApp and activate Use with Siri. This is the option that will allow you to integrate both tools for your comfort.
After it has been enabled you can use the “Hey Siri” command to activate the wizard and tell it, for example, “Send a message from WhatsApp to… “, and Siri will ask “What do you want to send”.
After dictating the message, the wizard will transcribe it and show it to you to confirm it. If it is as you wish, you can give the final order of “Send”, and that will make Siri send WhatsApp messages in a very comfortable and really simple way.
To be able to make WhatsApp calls the route is very similar, all you have to do is say “Make a call through WhatsApp to…”, and Siri will perform the entire procedure to activate the call through the messaging application.
You can also answer WhatsApp calls from the block screen as if it were a conventional call.
This functionality is, without a doubt, very useful when you’re driving or when your hands are busy and you can’t take the device.
But you will have to keep in mind that if you open WhatsApp and still have unread messages, the indicator of the number of messages will disappear.
Siri will interpret this situation as meaning that you no longer have unread messages, and then you will no longer be able to read them aloud to you.
