Beyond the theories that physics developed through its scholars over the years, it is also a science of experimentation. Therefore and thanks to this feature of it, all its findings can be carried out through experiments.
At the same time, thanks to the theories put forward in this science, visions can be established about the tests that will be carried out in the future.
Physics is classified as a fundamental science, this is thanks to its extensive study during its vast years of history.
His studies have wide scope in the Universe, he is able to explain and describe a particle, to develop advanced studies of the birth of a new star.
Physics in antiquity
Democritus is a physicist recognized and outstanding in antiquity to this day.
The development of physics as a science is to be thanked to the great Greek philosophers.
Therefore, from this perspective, the names that we must highlight are the figure of Empedocles who, in addition to devoting himself to physics, was also an outstanding philosopher, and with his studies and experiments he managed to demonstrate the existence of air.
This was achieved through his contraption, which scholars called clepsidra, which consisted of a copper sphere, which was filled with water when submerged in liquid.
This artifact was characterised mainly by the sequence of holes in its background, complemented by an open neck.
With this artifact previously described, Empedocles demonstrated that when it was submerged in water with its neck uncovered, the liquid was allowed to run through the holes it had in the bottom.
But, on the other hand, if the same exercise was performed with the neck of the covered device, it could not get out, since the air was in charge of obstructing the passage of water.
If we talk about science, we can not fail to name Democritus, another physicist recognized and prominent in antiquity and up to these times.
He is rightly considered to be the father of the atomist school and what he did in order to have such a title was to establish that these atoms are not capable of being divided at any time.
In ancient times, physics was not considered a science in itself, but was given place between philosophy, chemistry and some branches of mathematics and biology.
But during the scientific revolution that took place in the 17th century, it was given the precise place to begin as a modern science, in its own right.
However, even today, in some disciplines such as mathematical physics and quantum chemistry, the limits corresponding to physics are confusing.
Theories of physics
Relativity, which considers the field of space-time and the relationship and effects they generate with gravity; electromagnetism, which is in charge of studying light and other electromagnetic matters.

And since we develop these concepts external to the science that studies nature with the help of mathematics, we can name and not forget Physical Geography, which is the one that, starting from the already mentioned geography, focuses basically on what is the configuration of the seas and the land.
In conclusion, we can say that physics studies energy, matter (as well as any change in it that does not alter its nature), time, space and the relations and interrelations that develop between these four concepts.
Physics is a natural science and is one of the oldest of the existing sciences. It can be considered as the oldest, if we consider that astronomy is part of physics.
